Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Learn Parrot and its family of learning apps (including Spell Parrot), operated by Parrot Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These services are intended for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. If you are a parent or guardian allowing your child to use our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and are responsible for your child's use of the services.

Description of Services

Learn Parrot provides AI-powered educational apps designed for primary school students (ages 6-12). Our services include:

• Spell Parrot: A spelling practice app with customizable word lists
• Snap-to-Words: Photo-to-text feature for creating word lists
• Learning Progress Tracking: Monitor improvement over time
• Cloud Sync (Premium): Sync data across multiple devices

User Accounts

Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• One account may manage multiple child profiles

Account Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Keep your password confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Ensure child profiles are managed appropriately

Subscription and Payment

Free Tier

• Basic features with local-only data storage
• No payment required
• Limited to a single device

Premium Subscription

• Monthly subscription at the current advertised price
• Cloud sync across unlimited devices
• Additional premium features as released
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled

Billing

• Payment is processed at the start of each billing period
• You may cancel at any time through your app store account
• Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store's policies
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the services for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the services
• Upload malicious content or software
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use automated systems to access the services without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of Learn Parrot apps are owned by Parrot Technologies and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

• You retain ownership of content you create (such as custom word lists)
• You grant us a license to use your content to provide and improve our services
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you upload

Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of data as described in that policy.

Disclaimers

Educational Purpose

Our apps are designed as supplementary educational tools. They are not a substitute for formal education or professional tutoring. Learning outcomes may vary.

Service Availability

• We strive to maintain consistent service availability
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Scheduled maintenance may occasionally affect availability

"As Is" Basis

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARROT TECHNOLOGIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parrot Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the services
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:

• Posting the updated terms on our website
• Sending an email notification to registered users
• Displaying a notice within our apps

Continued use of the services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the app settings.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the services if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Fail to pay subscription fees (for premium accounts)

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the services ceases immediately
• We may delete your account data (subject to our data retention policies)
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

General Provisions

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Singapore, unless you opt out within 30 days of accepting these terms.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Parrot Technologies regarding the services.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
